I've grown fond of using PMMail's Alt-V command (View Full Message) to
view attachments. (I use PMMail98). If I Alt-V when a binary file is
attached, I will see an ASCII representation of the binary, but the
binary will not execute, right?

I'm sure the answer is no, but I want to hear it confirmed by someone
else. The reason I ask is, I received Happy99.exe today, again, and
while I knew not to open the attachment, I was very tempted to Alt-V it
just for the fun of it, but I chickened out.

Thanks,
