Steve, you miss the point.

I'm not talking about editors, I'm talking about the reflow at send 
option. When I (last) tried it it would produce the nasty long/line 
short thing.

Set to reflow at send, set a new message window width to > 80 
characters, take a line 79 characters long terminated with a hard 
<cr><lf>, insert the quote marks at the beginning, send. What is the 
result?

The OS/2 version is about as friendly as kick up the backside. The 
version supplied with Red Hat Linux is far better but then that has all 
the required libraries installed and doesn't require all the piddling 
about with emx that the OS/2 one does.
