Proper threading? (technical aspects)

You asked.  I do.  I occasionally get a priority e-mail, and when I
have several hundred messages in a folder it is very easy to sort by
the "read" status and get all the priorities at the top.

Frankly, the threading I do in Power Listviewer is not related to the
message IDs, because I need to process digests, and the individual
messages in digests do not have message IDs.  I rely upon the subject
text with some special processing to find threads.
