    Doesn't mean that it is a bad thing, just when it is catered to for no
other reason it is.  :P

    Define "more elegant."  Does this method:

a: work with multiple different tools?  Yes.

b: work across multiple platforms?  Yes.

c: work with common tools on said platforms?  Yes.

   *That*, my friend, is elegant.  Requiring me to run the same OS, be on the
same machine or run a particular flavor of networking and require a
proprietary interface after all of that is klunky.
