[pmmail-list] PMMail/2 cannot read Hotmail mail properly

Hello,

The problem resides in the fact that OS/2's default charset is not
ISO-8859-1 and in a bug in Hotmail systems. Hotmail never includes the
following in the header of text parts:

Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

PMMail's default Content-Transfer-Encoding is 7 bit... so no character
translation is ever performed on the messages. That doesn't matter in
Windows since Hotmail always uses ISO-8859-1 codepage, but it does in
OS/2. Moreover, depending on the language setup in Hotmail, the
charset is usually not specified, ie.: the Content-Type looks like
this:

Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Again, this doesn't matter in Windows, but it does in OS/2.

So I believe PMMail/2 should be equipped with a default
Content-Transfer-Encoding of 8 bit (it doesn't have any drawback) and a
default Content-Type charset of ISO-8859-1 (or should make a setting
for it)..

What do you all think?
