Well it serves that use well enough; but I wouldn't opt to speak for
the designers.

I feel warmer now that you've approved at least one of my posting

'Conventional' for you; 'appropriate' for me.

Please consider that the majority of my postings are conversational and
with reasonable sized groups of active conversants; not to usenet.
There's certainly no need to concoct standards [of etiquette for
instance] which encapsulate usenet with personal email, small private
lists, medium size public lists, web interfaced BBS, or anything else
for that matter.
