[pmmail-list] time to clear trash - performance

I've had this problem for years too ... but there are so many
other requests that I haven't mentioned it.

I subscribe to some large email lists, and go thru those types
every 2-3 weeks only looking at headers and swipe-deleting
those I don't even want to look at.  This can result in a few
_thousand_ old emails getting dumped into "Trash"....

.... I've grown to regret those times, as it renders my machine
almost unusable for a few *hours*.        :(

I'd really appreciate this one getting fixed, Peter!    :)
