Usually, I don't use an external editor but I tested it some time ago 
and so I can state another problem. Apparently, PMMail uses a different 
internal encoding for non-ASCII characters as the OS (and the external 
editors) do so 8bit characters look strange inside the external editor 
and are unusable within PMMail when entered outside.

I already reported this years ago ... but like in all the other cases no 
one is taking care :/ ...

Did I miss the sense of this or am I unable to understand it?
