Hi everyone,

Just another update on the progress with the new beta. Peter did get
back into the code the latter half of this week and just let me know
that he hopes to have a new build by Wednesday of next week. He has
cleared ALL memory leaks from the code and only needs to fix a few
pointers so that there should be no memory problems with the code. Work
does continue to resolve the APOP and dial-up connection problems.
Speaking of which, can anyone else confirm that the dial-up connections
are not present in build 2581 from the Connections properties menu? So
far this only looks like it is a problem on Win98.

I did also talk to him about the HTML discussions occurring here and he
agrees 100% that the rendering of HTML in a text/plain message is a
bug. He said that he will hopefully be able to correct this for the
next build. I am not sure if any of the optional display methods and
other proposals will be implemented in the next build, but they will be
looked at when we begin building the new version. Again, our focus is
to have a completely bug free PMMail 2000, and adding new features and
options only increases the opportunity for bugs and other problems.
