[pmmail-list] about the trash folder

Hello, why, many times, does the trash folder show 1 message in the
folder when there's nothing in there?  This to me has been an ongoing
program with pm mail, ever since I started using it in 2000, and when I
erace everything in the trash folder, I don't want it saying trash1. 
How can I fix this, since all the other folders don't do this.  Thanks.
