You know what I tell them?

"I'm sorry, I'm not going to be able to help you."

(In my neck of the woods, it seems most of my telemarketers are
charities, and I just don't have pockets deep enough to give to them
all.)

I don't like the time wasted dealing with them, or the disappointment
when I get to the phone and find out it's not Cameron Diaz calling to
ask me out, but just some telemarketer, but now that I've gotten the
above canned reply memorized, I hardly even remember telemarketers
calling me anymore.
