[pmmail-list] Splitting data and executable

I'm running 2.612 under Windows XP. I tried putting my account folders,
PMMAIL.INI, and PMMAIL.TCK onto a network drive and leaving the executable on
the local drive as suggested in the FAQ, but when I exit PMMail it crashes.Dr
Watson says:

The application, C:\Program Files\Blueprint Software Works\PMMail
2000\PMMailw.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on
09/04/2002 @ 22:26:30.748 The exception generated was c0000005 at address
00410E40 (PMMailw)

Frankly, I'd really like a better way of storing the files on a separate
drive from the executable anyway. If ALL the data files, including the INIs,
were kept separate from the executables from the getgo, and the location of
these files could be specified in the registry, that would just rock. It
would also make life a lot easier for me in regards to backing up my mail.
