Personally, the OS/2 newsreader I liked the most was the Innoval Postroad Newsreader.  However, as with much of their stuff, it had major bugs which they never sorted.  Eventually it was abandoned - I think it was said the code had been 
given to someone or some other company to develop, but I never heard of it again.   It was the nearest OS/2 native newsreader to Forte's Agent that I ever found.
