blinking/blinkin' is quite normal usage here in the UK too (I'd 
say "bloody" was marginally stronger - a small child might get 
told off for saying "bloody", but very unlikely for "blinking").

Of course in Australia, "bloody" is compulsory usage. 
Even Sheila's should bloody well use it almost every other 
bloody word! :-)
