I also have had e-mails hang PMMail.. without any filters installed.  If I can catch it in type, and go to remote control, I can usually delete the mail off the 
server.  However if it is the first e-mail being downloaded, then I have to disconnect from the network - restart PMMail, and turn off auto fetch so that it 
doesn't hang before I do the remote control.  The latest Beta seems to have stopped the problem from happening, however my wife won't let me install 
beta software on her machine, so it happens a lot on her PC. (BTW, we are both registered users of PMMail Professional)
