Hello Walter,
  In reply to your message of 2003-11-12.

Since I am using Remote Control as well, I checked my Error Log and
discovered that there were literally hundreds of these "TOP" entries
but only one with "QUIT", all on the same day. Also, there were 9
"ERR no such message,..", but none of either type since that date. I
know that my ISP upgraded their software, InterMail, around Oct.16,
so that tabs in headers are processed correctly, but did not notice
any issues which could be associated with these errors.

Fri, 31 Oct 03 17:38:25 ==> -ERR no such message. ; This is the error
that resulted from the LIST command
Fri, 31 Oct 03 17:28:36 ==> Error sending text to server ; QUIT
Fri, 31 Oct 03 17:28:36 ==> Error sending text to server ; TOP 98 1

I tend to think that these errors are related to your ISP or perhaps
to the quality of the telephone lines rather than PMMail, but I am no
expert.

Ciao,
      Kenn

 I am running PMMail v 2.20.2382 on eCS v1.03 with a dial up
 connection to my ISP.

 Lately I have been getting a lot of this type of message in the
error
 log:

 Sun, 09 Nov 03 12:32:24 ==> Error sending text to server ; TOP 21 1

 The ending numbers vary. Because of all the SPAM I have been using
 the remote control to delete messages at the server at my ISP but
 this appears to happen before I can make the remote connection. I
 also get a lot of "server broke connection" errors especially if
 trying to download messages with large attachments.
   ...
 Any ideas about where I should be looking for the problem?

 Thank you

 Walter
