Have you downloaded the source and built Thunderbird? I tried over the 
weekend, but kept getting errors in the make that was supposed to pull 
the source (it would copy a file, then say the destination file didn't 
exist -- probably because of the odd mix of forward and backward slashes).

Have you found a good place to go for support (i.e., newsgroup or 
mailing list)? I found an online forum, but find that inconvenient to 
the point of uselessness for me at this point.

If you are building the program, would you mind if I asked a few 
questions along the way? It wouldn't be many and it wouldn't be 
pestering. And I'd bug off as soon as you asked.
