I agree with you. THunderbird seems not to work well with screen reading
software for the blind. Even using advanced scripting probably won't work
out well.
I liked to use pm mail, especially the handling of emailing lists and the
capability to choose to reply to sender and reply to "to" field. I have not
seen this feature in many other programs very unfortunately!!!
However, the reason why I decided not to use pm mail very often is because
of the poor html capabilities.
If the is an email client with better html support and the same malining
lists reply feature which is accessable with screen reading software then I
would be very happpy.

Many years ago there was a mail+news client under dos and os 2 called yarn
which was close to ideal, however it was discontinued by the developer.
