[pmmail-list] Wither Linux?

There was some talk a while ago about a possible Linux version of PMMail.
Also at one point the owners said they were seriously looking at it.

Is that possability dead?

On a related note, could anyone recommend a Linux gui mail program roughly like PMMail?
