Hi list, I have noticed that the 1-800-603-5684 number for blueprint
software works has been disconnected, at least, I get a reorder, so I
need to ask a question about something that was discussed many months,
if not years ago, and that is, a file with either a .drp extension, or
drop.something or other, because I am having problems with pm mail and
Norton anti-virus 2004, always having error check error log messages,
so now, I have disabled email scanning, and when I launched pm mail
this morning, it just hung, and stopped downloading everything, so, I
assume this file is apart of the .act folder, but don't want to erace
the incorrect folder, but I understand there's a file you can delete,
of which pm mail will create a new one upon re-start that will not be
corrupted, as I think this current file is, if I have this particular
file. I have noticed that even when I'm trying to fetch mail, that
sometimes, there is an error 10061 message, and I wonder if this
corrupted file might be the cause of this, and if restoring it might
clear these problems with pm mail being able to connect to the server?
All these months, I thought this might have been a Norton problem, and
low and behold, it's doing the same thing even when Norton's email
scanning is disabled. The only difference between when email scanning
is enabled, or disabled is that if Norton email scanning is enabled and
this happens, I get an error check error log message, and if email
scanning is disabled, I just get an error 10061 could not connect
message which doesn't show up in the error log. This with Norton
anti-virus 2004, windows 98 se, 192 megs of ram, a 400 megs processor,
and pm mail version 2717. I even went so far as to reinstall pm mail
on Sunday, with my firewall, and none of these things have helped, and
remembered discussion of a drop file, or a file with a .drp extension,
that if deleted, pm mail would create a fresh one that wouldn't be
corrupted, or maybe the file wouldn't be re-created, but the inability
to connect, or download would be stopped. Thanks for any assistance
you can give.
