I know, and guess why: Win98 is shipped with IE, windowsupdate.microsoft.com
is, at some point, for updating your 98, and IE is an integral part of the
system you use (this point is a fact, im sorry :/ ), so you are required to
use
IE to update your system.

Yes, even simplest programs or games were crashing with GPFs in those DLLs
that
98lite replaced. I was really annoyed and switched back, and I can say that
the
crashes are really gone (except one or two)...
