Annoying?  Here I only notice them on the status bar
unless I hit Alt-V.  I see you're using the "standard"
edition of PMM -- doesn't that hide the pgp sig?

If you can see it in the "standard edition," or if you
feel it will save space, write a simply input filter to
strip it.
