The server appear not to be accessible directly through a browser (at
least I have not been able to succeed that way). The server uses a
particular port (keys.pgp.com:11371) which a browser may not
understand. My supposition.

No, I used the built-in capabilities of the PGP 6.0.2i software. There
are some public key servers preloaded and the program has some
search/upload/refresh capabilities.
