Of course we don't *need* this. Like we don't need app. 95% of the
contents on the web. But it does make it easy to make multimedia
cd's/presentations/applications. Like it or not. You can program it
other ways - and probably even better. A bit like programming in
assembler code or through the use of Delphi for instance. But
maintaining the code is then more difficult. But some people actually
*do* need it. If you are in the multimedia advertising business (a few
of my friends are), then it's either have these apps, or get out of the
business. Sad but true.
