Detecting and filtering executable attachments

I'd like to write a filter (or group of filters, if necessary) that 
detects any executable attachments attached to an incoming e-mail message 
(i.e. any .COM, .EXE, .BAT, etc.)  I want to make sure the filter is 
detecting an actual MIME or UUE attachment, not just the occurence of 
".COM" somewhere in the text of a message.  Can anyone assist me to 
properly detect these?
