Here's what the documentation says:
"$a.filename$	Fill in filename with the full path and filename
of a file you wish to attach to the Canned Reply.  You can use this tag
up to 16 times for a total of 16 attachments in a single Canned
Reply."	

I just tried it, and this works.  Create a canned reply with the
variable in it.  Then run the canned reply by right clicking in a new
message. Presto, your file is attached.

I just rejoined the list after about a year away.  What happened with
Bob and Icon? Has there been any discussion of the new options
(apparently mostly these variables) in PMMail 2000?
