The mailing list is very busy, and the writers are very responsive. 
They initially reverse-engineered the JStreet source to fix some
bugs, but have now rewritten much of it making it /much/ faster. 
They have the blessing of Dan Porter of Innoval in doing this work. 
The product is and will remain free.
