Why?   The only thing needed is to periodictly close the connection and
re-open it.  The "remote control" feature fetches all the header
information, and then allows the user to manipulate the result.  There
is no need to pull the list of everything into the inbox, just fetch
and delete as normal, and every once in a while, close the connection
and re-open it.
