    It should be.  Trimming is considered a good thing.  Quote only what you
need, discard the rest.  That is why I cringe at people who write, then have
quotes at the bottom.

    The standard is an 80 character display.  I set my wrapping for 78
characters.  Since I can reflow easily in the editors I choose to use, this
has never been a problem.  The 72 figure was to allow some characters (~6)
for people to quote effectively.  I feel that reflowing editors have removed
that restricted.  And, for those who do use reflow editors, it is.
