This sounds like a disk file system cross-link problem. Maybe you should
check disk file status. I never encountered this problem with any version
of PMM/2. You may wish to try the latest version v2.00.1500. This version
has all the features previously stated.

Easily solved. If you do not wish to recover messages you delete (thrown
away) then change your PMM/2 settings to perform true delete. ALL deleted
messages are sent to the Trash folder UNLESS you specify true delete. You
can also specify how long to hold messages in the Trash folder. The Trash
folder is similar to other folders. Read status display is helpful to
those who wish to know they have deleted a message they haven't read. It
may be a nuisance to you but beneficial to others. If you are sending
messages to the Trash folder via a filter, simply include in your filter
to mark it as READ before sending it to the Trash folder.

No argument here.
