Canned reply overwrite bug

Folks, earlier we were discussing this bug:

Can anyone confirm that it does *NOT* work this way in v2.0 or v1.96?

Is there FixPak relevance? (Anyone that can confirm or not confirm
this behaviour, regardless of version #, please send me your FP level
