Bug when using an external editor?

If i choose to normally compose and/or read msgs using PMmails internal
editor everything woks fine, but if I once in a while want to edit some
things (like discussed in Steves posts) and hit Alt-x then all national
characters gets messed up (like if PMmail is transferring just 7-bit
ASCII to the editor). But if I have the editor as default this will not
happen, everything works just fine. I am using Latin-1 and have tried
both QP and 8-bit settings. Anyone else that have had any similar
problems?
