I would argue that the CDROM is a device that may be mapped into
any location in the file system, but it still remains only as a symbolic link
within the file system and does not physically hold a place in the hierarchical
directory scheme.
I would also argue that I personally find using only one editor to be as
boring as eating only one kind of food. That is one of my objections to
the Windows Interface. Everything is always the same. I am perfectly
capable of mapping any number of editors into PMMAIL. I have no
desire to do so. Steve likes his car. I like mine. Steve needs IMAP
support. I don't. Steve uses The Bat (as I recall). I use PMMAIL. I do not
find Steve's desires any more valid or important than mine. Steve does <Grin>.
