A good operating system should keep close to the latest technology,
software and/or hardware.
Do you think this is the case for IBM ?
It may happen that some OS/2 users on this list have AWE64 sound card.
Just ask them if your statement "IBM had provided ... drivers" is true
or not. This example is about something old, very old when speaking
about computer technology. If IBM is unable to provide a driver for
something yet old, what should one expecting about the latest hot
[either] card ?

Think at PMMail ... most readers here are expecting a NEW release, not
only bug fix(es).
There were PMMail users that needed IMAP capability. Probably they are
already using another mailer. How long should they waiting ?
There were OS/2 users that needed powerful multimedia capabilities.
Probably they are already using another os. How long should they
waiting ?
