thanks for reply...Blanker (from hobbes), SYSTEM clock, xitami,
pmipmon (from hobbes), and injoy.....

maybe I should turn off the IP monitor, and blanker for a day and see
if it changes things. good points.  Neither reconfigure mouse buttons
tho.
