I've been leaving my thoughts to stew gently during the afternoon, and
I remember now that I looked in folder.bag and then dragged the
appropriate .MSG file into my mail as an attachment. Hence, it did
work, but not the way I suspected.

Certainly would, but I suspect that this will take a lot of work and
won't be able to be done in PMMail 2000 :-(
