PMMail could (but doesn't) generate it's own message ids, it relies
on the local mail server to do so (a legitimate behaviour). This has 
been discussed here in the past and for a number of reasons, those
iof us who know about this kind of stuff considered it would generally 
be "better" to have the mail client generate it.
