Their h/w has support and has profile information which is used
by the OS - go to www.apple.com and search for colorsync - there are 
quite a number of white-papers on the subject there - I'm not a Mac expert,
I only said that MacOS had support for getting the "correct" colours while 
windows doesn't (neither does OS/2, linux etc).

BTW: I don't like Macs either - a triumph of form over function, but 
that doesn't mean I don't accept that MacOS has facilities not found
in (most) other OSs (true of all nearly OSs of course).
