Bruce, I was concerned about this while reading the docs myself. I know
that as my filter uses it, it works for case sensitivity. I suspect
that what the docs are trying to tell us is that use of
$header.whatever$ does not apply case sensitivity to the 'whatever'
part, i.e. from beginning of line to whAtEvEr: colon

It may also be saying that even content to the right of the colon, when
used as $header.whatever$ is not case sensitive; I didn't check that.
