Another Java client is Postal, a basis for a series of articles in
Server/Workstation Expert (http://www.swexpert.com, follow link to Java
Class). The latest code is in
ftp://ftp.cpg.com/pub/JavaClass/09.2001/postal.tar. (No personal
experience with this, I just read the series.)
While you're there, check out the Ask Mr. Protocol column. Highly
entertaining account of past and present Internet. It's the main reason
I subscribe.
