Hello Boris and Everyone,

It is a little thin in the first few but gets in depth for the folder settings....

The character that is used as a delimiter in the folders (looks similar to a b) will be represented by a * in this message

In the folder.bag file the 'a' character refered to is actually an a with an accent.

There is a bit of info I am missing for the Folder.bag file and would appreciate any input on it. It is currently to late in the evening to ask Peter.

=ACCT.INI=======================================================================================
Account Settings. As these are currently written, it would be difficult to list here.

=ACCT.SNP=======================================================================================
I do not know the purpose of this file

=ACCTNET.LOG====================================================================================
Error log for the account

=FILTERS.LST=====================================================================================
List of filters for that account and their settings

=FOLDER.EXP=====================================================================================
I do not know the purpose of this file

=FOLDER.UCT=====================================================================================
Unread message count for the current folder

=FOLDER.BAG=====================================================================================
Status*attachment*Date*Time*Subject*to_address*to_name*from_address*from_name*X*filename*attach_info*X

Status - 0=unread, 1=read, 2=replied/forwarded
Attachment 0=none, 1=attachment
X - The x's are file sizes, but I cannot tell the difference (any input?)
attach_info - a=no attachment
 --If there is an attachment, there will be the following. In the attachment section, the * is truly an asterik.
  attachment_description*attachment_name=(I do not yet understand the digits here)

    such as APPLICATION+ZIP*FRRetail.zip=3,2029;

Example:
2*1*2001-08-10*11:45:35*Retail version*jimmym@blueprintsoftwareworks.com*Jimmy McCorquodale*pnielsen@xxxx.net*Peter Nielsen INF*20405*GHV0050.MSG*APPLICATION+ZIP*FRRetail.zip=3,2029;*20407*

Replied message with attachment. Arrived on 8/10 at 11:45 AM. The subject was about a Retail version. It was to jimmym@...., with the name Jimmy McCorq..... Message was from pnielsen@...... who is Peter Nielsen INF. File Size 20405 bytes ? . File name for this message is GHV0050.MSG. It contains a zip attachment called FRRetail.zip(? no idea ?) and file size in bytes is 20407.

(No, I am not trying to keep anyone from writing Peter, that is just a private address of his).

=FOLDER.INI======================================================================================
This is the properties of a folder

folder_name*folder_id_#*PMMail*Z;Z;Z;Z;Z;Z;Z;Z;Z;Z*ordering*indicator*anymail*status*

Where Z is any sequence of numbers 0-9 controlling the sorting of the folder in the message list (no numbers can be repeated)

Folder_id_#'s are unique. For the default folders created by PMMail they tend to be single digits.
PMMail - 0=folder was created by PMMail, 1=folder was user created. This setting controls whether a folder can be deleted from within PMMail.
ordering - Ordering of the message list. 0=ascending, 1=descending
indicator - 0=no, 1=icon indicates unread messages
anymail - 0=no, 1=icon indicates any mail
status - 0=empty folder, 1=contains read mail, 2=contains unread mail
  --Unread mail is a superior status. For example if a folder contains 99 read and one unread message, the folder will still be unread (2)

Example:
pmmail-list*32756*1*4;0;6;2;3;8;5;7;9;1*1*1*1*2*

Folder name is 'pmmail-list' and is ID'd by PMMail as folder 32756. It is a user created folder and can be deleted. Digits 4-1 are the sort priority for the message list. Sort priority is descending. The folder indicates unread mail (turns green), the folder indicates any mail (turns red). There are currently unread messages within the folder.

Hi again,
"""""""""
since I really need an archiver but cannot find one that really works,
I need input to write one by my own. So please don't let me die without
that info and tell me the format and meaning of the internal files like
PMMAIL.INI, ACCT.INI, ACCT.SNP, ACCTNET.LOG, FILTERS.LST, FOLDER.EXP,
FOLDER.UCT, FOLDER.BAG, FOLDER.INI and what else may be useful for
that. Or, alternatively please tell me where to find that information
if it is pubished somewhere already.

It's really important to me.
Thanx.
