You can also duplicate addresses in the PMMail address book just
by adding the address anew. There is no check for duplicity, neither
at import nor at interactive maintenance.
As I said, my strategy is to bring up to perfection my own address
data base, and export all address information in any format I need
for PABX, mobile phone, eMail programs and what have you. Exporting
is easy, but importing from those vendor-specific formats will be a
lot of work.
The solution for a company wide address book would be, I think,
LDAP. PMMail does support LDAP, I read, but I have no experience with
it, and I also heard that this LDAP support could be improved.
Open LDAP might be a good solution for many sites.
