Don't agree, here are some headers from a mailing list I'm on:-
Message-ID: <3A82B0BC.4ABF89EF@xxx.xxx.xx.xx>
Date: Thu, 08 Feb 2001 14:44:12 +0000
X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.72 [en] (WinNT; I)
X-Accept-Language: en
MIME-Version: 1.0
References:
<Pine.LNX.4.30.0102071628290.27092-100000@xxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxx>
<3A827A87.9242.F0E0A@xxxxxxxxx>
<200102081040590050.01D9B12C@xxxxxxxxxx.xx.xx>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
As you can see, some mail clients can and do insert references headers,
and also thread using them. Sadly, PMMail does neither of these things,
it also does not generate its own message-ID, which would be a plus.
