Well, if you want commercial software, you're kind of stuck with
Windoze. If you want the reliability, robustness, and stability that
you're used to getting with OS/2, I'd suggest going for Linux or BSD.
Not only that, but if you're used to compiling your own utilities
with gcc in OS/2, you'll feel right at home in Linux. (I used tcsh as
my OS/2 command prompt all the time...and used gcc for all my really
important utilities.)
