What's this all about? I haven't seen any discussion of this... but frankly,
I'm not suprised, PMMail uses seperate files for each message, and seperate
directories for folders (which by the way is a FANTASTIC advantage of
PMMail!). So when PMMail starts up it scans the entire PMMail directory
structure for directories and messages.
Is that the lousy performance you are talking about? (the startup time)
What sort of network are you running on? Is it local? If so, are you using
100bt or 10bt? How about the performance of the machine hosting the PMMail
files, does it have enough ram to cache all the directory structures?
