I do think this is a kind of problem since the additional window 
elements for a new area would waste some space and furthermore, all this 
would destroy the pretty look&feel without any benefit. My vote 
concerning the sig issue is: leave it as it is. But I'd like to have the 
'empty lines at the bottom' problem fixed.
