No, I don't think so, because I can decrypt and encrypt "Umlaute" with older Versions of PGP. If you have a look at the message-body PMMAIL produces you will find some places where a "=3D" appears.

"=3D" is the substitude for "=" ascii Nr. 61 = hex 3D

If you manually delete the "3D" after each "=" at the end of the ascii-pgp-message you will have no problems to decrypt the message including the "Umlaute".

Here is just the end of a mail I wrote to my self. I have marked the chars I have to delete red... Then I manually can decrypt the message using PGP.

So the error is that PMMAIL replaces every "=" in the outgoing encrypded mailbody with a "=3D" . This only occurs if there a "Umlaut" in the origianl mailtext. It should not be a problem to fix that?!
Because of a friend can decrypt the mails including "Umlaute" it is possible that his Mailprogram (not PMMAIL) corrects this encoding error... ???
