I saw a reply to this that said that the "features" requested by the
most people will be supplied first.

Bah! Humbug! I sell PMMail to corporate clients. They blame me because
the address book isn't useful in a corporate environment. Most people
in this list don't care (I don't blame them if they are sole users) so
I get 1 vote because the corporate users don't hang out im mailing
lists?

Meanwhile I lose customers to Lotus Notes (Domino), BPSW makes no more
corporate sales (to anybody with a brain who saw the message here).

Sure, fix bugs first. Then figure out which of the requested
enhancements will suit the market you want to be in. Figure out which
feature will make 6 one-off buyers happy and to hell with the 1 vote
guy who pushed your product to heaps of SME customers.

I guess it's time to do a course in Domino now that you can buy IBM's
Small Business Suite for LInux with Domino Server, DB2UDB 7.1,
Websphere Application Server E/L, Websphere Studio, IBM httpServer
(Apache done by IBM) , Lotus SmartSuite Millenium Edition and a LAN
installer that installs Notes client or LSS-ME (or your own apps) to
win boxes all for $US499. Even less if you qualify for an upgrade
promo.

My clients can connect to that with a browser. Not much room for me
with copies of PMMail sold at cost. At least with Domino they get an
address book that works!
