  I have taken a look for IMAP in the past week, and found that this
would be a better solution for an inhouse eMail-Service for a
workgroup or company with workgroups, where people have to share
mailboxes, or look into their mailbox from different workplaces. 

  As to the development of IMAP capabilities in PMMail, I found that
there is a free-of-charge source in C for an IMAP client at
ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/mail/imap.tar.Z
