[pmmail-list] Strange problem since eCS GA

Hi!

I found the culprit.... I should have guessed.

It's the Anti-Virus Thing coming with eCS-GA. If I disable
it problem and the delays are gone.

It's the Norton Anti-Virus 'Claws' daemon running in the 
background and probably scanning all disk activity.

Another reason for going away from the continuous temp file 
creation for each and every action. This is, of course, IMHO.

But I heard others complaining as well for performance reasons
on network drives...
